If you are a big fan of Monterey County wines, A Taste of Monterey is the wine club for you. They pick wines from over 85 wineries in Monterey County. There are six different wine clubs to choose from depending on your budget and interest. Included in all of the clubs are the winemakers notes, newsletter and recipes. It is a great way to learn about the wines in Monterey Country.

Club Taste will deliver two bottles of wine (one red and one white) to you every month for $29 per month plus shipping.

Club Blanc will deliver two bottles of white wine to you every month for $29 per month plus shipping.

Club Red will deliver two bottles of red wine to you every month for $34 per month plus shipping.

Club Quattro will deliver four bottles of wine (two red and two white) to you every month for $58 per month plus shipping.

The Cellar Club will deliver four bottles of red wine to you every month for $61 per month plus shipping. You will get two each of the Club Red wines.

If you want to receive the premier wines of Monterey County, you can join the Private Reserve Club OS. You will receive two bottles of red wine, and one bottle of white wine, many of which will be from boutique wineries with small case production. This will cost $99 per month plus shipping.

K&L Wine Clubs offers five different wine clubs plus a Personal Sommelier Service. This range of options makes K and L wine clubs one of the most popular clubs around. They offer the Best Buy Wine Club, the Premium Wine Club, the Signature Red Collection, the Champagne Club, and Club Italiano.  K&L Wines is one of the largest wine retailers on the West Coast, so they get great prices from the distributors. K&L Wines can then pass along the savings to you. They also will allow you to reorder from the monthly club selection for a reduced price. With each wine that you get delivered from the club, you will get tasting notes about the wine from the wine buyers, along with reviews and background information.

The Best Buy Wine Club is very reasonably priced ($19.95 plus shipping) and you get 2 bottles of wine (that are selected by K&L Wine buyers) delivered to your door every month. The wines generally are of a higher value than the monthly fee of $19.95, so it does make this club a very good value if you want to experience new wines, but are on a limited budget.

In the Premium Wine Club you get 2 bottles of wine delivered to you every month that are normally priced much higher than the $29.95 that you will pay K&L Wine. This is also a great way to experience new premium wines, selected by an experienced group of wine buyers.

The Signature Red Collection is $49.95 plus shipping per month, in which you will receive two bottles of red wine. If you bought these two bottles of wine outside of the club, they would cost much more than the $49.95 monthly fee.

Now we come to my favorite K&L Wine Club of them all – the Champagne Club. In this club, you will get two bottles of Champagne every other month, and the cost is $69.95 every two months plus shipping. The Champagne buyer for K&L Wines travels to Champagne every year to personally select the Champagnes that will be used. The Champagnes are priced much higher than they are in the club.

The Club Italiano will send you two bottles of wine a month for the price of $39.95 plus shipping. K&L Wines sends the wine buyers to Italy to choose the most delicious Italian wines that they can find to import. Once again, the prices would be much higher if you purchased the wines outside of the club.

All in all, K&L Wine Clubs are a fantastic way to experience the world of wines. It is a real bonus to have so many options within one club. We highly recommend this.

The Napa Wine Company has put their own spin on the wine club phenomenon, and it is a fantastic twist indeed! The Napa Wine Club only sells wines that are made at the Napa Wine Company. Only 20 wineries are involved with their wine club at any one time. There are five different clubs that you can join. All of the prices are averages. Some months may be higher and some months may be lower, but it should equal out to the prices below.

In the Select Club you will get two bottles of wine four times a year for the approximate price of $50 plus shipping.

The Preferred Club will send you two bottles of wine four times a year for the approximate price of $80 plus shipping.

For the approximate price of $130 plus shipping, the Premium Club will send you two or three bottles of wine four times a year.

In the Elite Club, you will get 6 bottles four times a year for $250 – $375 plus shipping. Each bottle will be a different wine, so you will be getting 6 different wines in each shipment.

The Collectors Club will deliver one case four times a year, that will cost 4500 – $750 plus shipping. In each case, you will receive 6 different wines (two of each kind).

Another great feature of this club, is the recipes that they send you with each wine. I have found it extremely helpful to see which foods are recommended for each wine.
